The research of the Kallies lab focusses on T cell differentiation and function in viral infection, cancer and metabolic disease. Specifically, we aim to understand the molecular regulation of cytotoxic CD8 T cells, conventional CD4 T cells and regulatory T cells with a focus on stem-like and tissue-resident cells in chronic disease. We make extensive use of preclinical models and cutting-edge technology such as single cell RNA sequencing and epigenetic profiling.
